We had a confirm reservation and the Hostess put our party of 6 at 2 differnt tables at opposite end of the room. We had to wait 45 minutes before we found each other. When I check in, I was shown a table for my reservation. The other 4 persons were told that there was no reservation under my Name. Service and atmosphere were excellent, and our waiter was fantastic. However, the food was disappointing. The menu is heavily seafood-focused, and even non-seafood options, like steak, come with seafood-based sauces. The selection didn’t suit our tastes, and overall, the quality didn’t justify the price. I wouldn’t dine here again—better to visit the pub next door, where you can get similar options, like prime rib, at a much more reasonable price.

Food was warm at best, service was poor and at times non existent. To expect a 18% tip at the end for taking away a few plates was quite dissapointing.

The steak and shrimp meal was good. The burgers and bannock were not. Both very greasy (fried bannock), and very little flavor for both. The server did not check on us once, and when someone else picked up the plates we told her about the bugers. The message was not passed on to the server. When the server brought the bill we told him about the burgers, and he did take 2 of them off. 7 people at the table, and fair priced, but not great quality for most of the meals.

The special New Years Buffet was not even close to the typical experience with The Kitchen weekend buffet. The food was cold, dry and stale. There were items advertised that were not offered. The particular server is highly inattentive each time we have been there. It was entirely a waste of the cost. Satisfaction for this experience was 0/10.

The service and selection just wasn't there. The snow crab was really mushy and waterlogged/soggy - so much that my dining partner couldn't even finish theirs (meanwhile I'm hoping mine doesn't make me sick). The server refreshed my drink with the wrong beverage, failed to inform us root beer came at an additional cost (thankfully we were not charged), and also shamed my date for not being able to finish their crab after I'd finished tipping them well despite the crummy service.

We went for a Saturday night buffet and was a little disappointed. They have a good selection and the pasta bar is a very nice touch. We found at $50.00 a plate it was pretty expensive for what was offered. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday night maybe that and there was no show in the venue.
